Parkland Radon began in 2020 after owner Sebastian Leimhofer tested his own home. The results came back at 1600 Bq/m³, far above Health Canada guidelines of 200 bq/m³. When he looked for help, the closest mitigation companies were located in Winnipeg and Regina hundreds of kilometres away from his community.
At the time, Sebastian was working in the mechanical trades and training as a plumber. After researching radon mitigation and building science, he recognized a clear need for qualified, local professionals serving rural Manitoba communities.
Growing up on a farm, he developed strong hands-on skills, practical problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic. What started as helping a few nearby families quickly spread through word of mouth as more homeowners began testing and discovering elevated radon levels.
Within a few years, Parkland Radon expanded into a full-time business focused entirely on radon testing, mitigation, and indoor air quality services.
Today, Parkland Radon serves the Parkland, Westman, and SE Saskatchewan regions, providing certified testing, professional mitigation systems, and clear guidance so homeowners can confidently make their homes safer.
